Are we a good match?

When it comes to supporting young individuals, like your child or teenager (ages 8 and up), I'm passionate about guiding them through life's hurdles and helping them understand how their present actions shape their future. Whether your child is dealing with emotions inwardly (such as anxiety) or expressing their feelings outwardly (like aggression), I am here to support your family.

I'm equally enthusiastic about supporting parents and caregivers in navigating their child's emotions and behaviors, aiming to foster a stronger, more harmonious connection within your family.

If you're seeking short-term, solution-focused therapy, I aim to equip you with tools that help overcome personal challenges, support decision-making, and regain control over your life. My approach is direct and honest, but I couple it with empathy and understanding. If our styles don't quite align, don't worry—I'm here to help you find the support that feels right for you.

With over 15 years of experience and a background in various counseling settings, including multicultural counseling, I bring a wealth of knowledge to our sessions. I primarily use a combination of interpersonal process theory and solution-focused therapy, tailoring interventions to suit your unique needs.

Outside of my professional life, I treasure moments with my family—watching theater movies, biking, fishing, and yearly travels to rejuvenate. Oh, and a fun tidbit: I have a deep love for tattoos and have been building my collection since 1998, connecting them to create a cohesive story.

When you step into our therapy sessions, you can expect a safe space where healing, empathy, and understanding thrive. I strive for sessions that are collaborative, structured based on what works best for you. There'll be empathy and some challenges along the way, all aimed at breaking cycles hindering your progress.

My long-term goal in counseling is to advance my credentials and training while normalizing therapy, especially in Black and brown communities, to enhance access to mental health services.

If you're a bit hesitant about starting therapy, consider a virtual consultation—it's a free 15-minute video call where we can connect and see if we're a good fit. Because therapy is personal, finding the right therapist is key to a successful journey.
