What is telehealth?
Telehealth allows clients to connect safely with their clinician through secure appointments via their computer, laptop, or mobile device. To prepare for the appointment, clients should identify a quiet and private room or space; the use of headphones is highly recommended. Healing Spaces will continue to operate on a telehealth only basis until further notice.
Can I do telehealth from anywhere?
Typically, clients must conduct services in the same state where the clinician is licensed. As such, clients must be residents of or log in for services in Missouri. Due to new legislation (PSYPACT), Dr. Jackson can also service telehealth clients in the following statements: Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Nevada, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia (effective 01/01/21), and North Carolina (effective 03/01/21).
What are your rates?
Rates for individual therapy are dependent on your clinician’s credentials (e.g., Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor), to compensate for the clinician’s education and training, and are dependent on the length of your session (e.g., 30 minutes, 50 minutes). Fees for 45-minute sessions range from $35-150. See CLINICIAN PAGES for specific rates.
Rates for psychological evaluation are based on the type of evaluation you requesting, accounting for the number of hours required by the psychologist(s) to complete the evaluation. Current evaluation packages include IQ only, ADHD rule out, full psychological, psychoeducational, and psychological + psychoeducational. Rates range from $700 (IQ only) to $1575 for a full psychological or psychoeducational evaluation. The psychological evaluation not only includes the time spent administering the assessment measures, but the interview, scoring and interpreting results, consulting with providers (e.g., current therapists), preparing the comprehensive written report, and time reviewing the results with caregivers. Do you take insurance?
The clinicians at Healing Spaces Psychological Services are not typically in-network provider for insurance companies. This allows your clinician to maintain smaller caseloads to provide focused, intentional, and up-to-date, evidenced-based treatment. Payment for services will be fee-for-service, and clients can pay via credit card, debit card, or health savings card.
You are welcome to contact your individual insurance company to inquire about your out-of-network benefits. As an out-of-network provider, we have the flexibility to decide how much, if any, information is shared with your insurance company. Your clinician will be happy to provide you with a superbill or documentation to submit to your insurance company. In addition, you may do so directly through your insurance company. Reimbursify is also an out-of-network insurance claim-filing app for patients, allowing you to track and file your own claims.
What happens if I cannot attend my scheduled appointment?
Clinicians at Healing Spaces are committed to your individual treatment goals and plan. When you schedule an appointment with us, then we set aside time to provide you with quality care. Therefore, it is imperative that you contact our office as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This gives us time to schedule other clients who may be waiting for an appointment.
As a courtesy, Healing Spaces will send appointment reminders 48 hours in advance of your appointment time. We request that you give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you do not do so within that time frame, then a fee will be charged to your card on file. This fee will also be applied for no show appointments.
