Hi, I'm Ashley (she/her)
I am excited to join the Healing Spaces team as a Counselor In Training (CIT) under the supervision of Dr. Kezia Jackson (MO License #2016035936).
If you find yourself thinking or feeling disconnected from 'the real you,' please know that I"m here to help you process your emotions. Along with my work with children, I love working with adults on topics such as identity, sexuality, familial issues, grief or loss, and anxiety.
Through our work together, I will provide a safe space for you to show up for yourself and begin to implement change.
Staff Therapist
THERAPY FOR PRE-TEENS AND TEENS
Growing up during this time with constant influence of social media, the development of your identity, finding your place in your friend group, and thus your purpose in the world can be very challenging! I have been trained to listen, understand, and support you through the struggles that pre-teens and teens experience.
Your therapy sessions might focus on navigating peer relationships, identity development, stress management, and anxiety. This is such a unique stage in life when kids and teens, like you, are not quite sure who they are or what they want to do with their lives, but also have so much pressure from family, friends, and society at large. I believe therapy can be helpful in navigating some of those challenges and contributing to a more fulfilling life experience.
I am dedicated to making our time together meaningful, fun, and focused on what's important to you and the values you hold.

THERAPY FOR YOUNG ADULTS AND COLLEGE STUDENTS

I am dedicated to providing a safe and supportive space for young adults to explore their feelings, develop coping strategies, and work towards a happier, healthier life. We believe that everyone deserves to feel empowered, confident, and fulfilled.
Whether you're dealing with social anxiety, panic attacks, depression, or any other mental health challenge, I aim to help you navigate these difficult emotions and find effective solutions.
I understand that every person's experience with anxiety and depression is unique. That's why we will work together to personalize our approach to fit your specific needs and goals. I believe in empowering you to take an active role in your treatment, providing you with the tools and support you need to achieve your desired outcomes.
If you're ready to take the first step towards a happier, healthier life, we're here to support you, contact us today.
GRIEF THERAPY
Grief is a natural and inevitable response to loss. Everyone experiences grief or loss in their own way and in their own time. The mourning process often involves many difficult and complicated emotions.
As you grieve, learning to accept this new reality can be extremely painful and difficult to face on your own. I am honored to walk alongside you in this journey toward accepting and coping with your loss. Together, we will process how to manage your grief and through awareness find the comfort you long for.
I graduated from the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at the University of Missouri, St. Louis (UMSL). Through my training and experience, I choose to implement an integrative approach to counseling. By combining Person-Centered, Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques, you receive the treatment and strategies tailored to your specific needs.
If you are looking for support during one of the hardest times of your life, please do not hesitate to schedule an appointment.
